As Chairman of the Caucus for the Advancement of the LGBT Community in the 25th Knesset, helped pass a prohibition on discrimination against LGBT Israelis in academia. Works to protect the environment as a member of the Interior and Environmental Protection Committee and Chairman of the Environmental Caucus, Chairman of the Caucus for Haifa Bay, and Chairman of the Caucus for Planting and Protecting Trees. Also Chairman of the Caucus for the Promotion of Youth Movements and Organizations and Chairman of the Caucus for Young People.
Tasks for the term
- LGBT rights: Passing the “Sagi Laws for Equality in Life” package - civil partnerships, a ban on conversion therapy for minors, the ‘interpretation law’ [that’d outlaw anti-LGBT discrimination], banning incitement against LGBT people, recognition for hate crime victims, parenthood registration, and a ban on discrimination in housing
- Environmental protection: regulating waste management, protection and restoration of the Dead Sea, and a climate change law
