An educator and commander, former teacher, school principal and head of the Education Administration in Jerusalem, all alongside lengthy reserve service as a paratroopers' battalion commander and an operations officer in the Gaza Division. A member of Knesset since the beginning of 2021, he has served on the Education and Foreign Affairs & Defense Committees and won the Knight of the Quality of Government Award in 2024. He helped block 1 billion NIS from being sent to educational institutions that don't teach core subjects, led a parliamentary and legal battle to ensure proper oversight of ultra-Orthodox education systems, and spearheaded legislation ensuring proper education for foster children and anchoring the rights of reservists. He is the author of the books "Eyes in the Back" on Israel's education system and "MK on the Night Shift" on his reserve duty while serving as a member of Knesset.
