A doctor of genetics by trade, she served as Yoav Regional Council head for 12 years prior to being elected to the Knesset. On the Internal Affairs Committee, she has sponsored legislation and led battles relating to environmental protection, agriculture and supporting local government. She spent more than 25 years working in the agricultural industry, and brings with her a combination of experience in research and local government alongside a commitment to the environment, the periphery and agriculture.
