A veteran social activist from Beer Sheva, she previously served for eight years on Beer Sheva's city council. In the Knesset, she has served as Chairwoman of the Special Committee on the Treatment of Holocaust Survivors. She also established the first-ever clinic in Israel for street animals and led a two-year long battle to restore 53 public housing apartments for the public's use.

Tasks for the term

  • Closing gaps in healthcare in the Negev
  • Investment alongside a systematic plan for the Bedouin community in education, infrastructure and employment that will reduce crime. In-depth thinking about the future of relations between Bedouins and Jews in the Negev.
  • Passing legislation to end the animal trade, implementing plans to reduce the number of street cats and stray dogs, and reducing and halting live animal importation.
  • A national program to prevent and reduce food waste - 23 billion NIS of food is thrown away annually!

She loves reading literature and history, cooking and baking. Her favorite book - "If This Is A Man" by Primo Levi.
