An educator and sportsman, Davidson was Head Coach of the National Swim Team and Chairman of the National Swimming Association. As a member of Knesset and Deputy Speaker, he has helped save many sports nonprofits including the Special Olympics and fiercely promoted the rights of Israeli athletes competing in competitions abroad. In the Knesset, he has led battles to lower the cost of living (including fighting to reduce public transit fares), improve public safety and strengthen the education system.
